Before now, you’ll never catch me awake before noon, because Heck no!!!! My radio schedules were night shifts and leaving the studio in the morning meant i would be unproductive till i get my beauty sleep and transitioning from Studio brat to Woman in the boardroom..

Unlike radio where i work shift, as a woman building Media Business, i get to have weekends and nope there are no shifts, i get to go home early and enjoy holidays if any arises. If there is a word for it, i would mostly call it Career shocks!!!!! Because what!!!!!

Before you ask i have and still adjusting from being a no morning person to an early bird, i mean there’s no growth without sacrifice, if not anything, my gym instructor made sure i understand that well enough, talking about the gym i am looking at becoming regular at the gym, yes, i mean going to the gym weekdays after intense mental work, looooool in the end i go alright

With growth, something has to give, and yes it might look hard, but trust me it is not impossible, I am rooting for you to do the hard work too and give who you are right now to be that woman or man you CAN BE!!!

It’s Finally out there, Yesssssss, without any warning or a fore indications, i have found myself in a season of my Life where i am a full blown MANAGER. While i can seat down here and act as though i was not prepared to be Leader all my Life i won’t act oblivious of that. Interestingly, When i turned 27 in March, i got a revelation that there a new season i was about to step into, my sister Rhoda had given me a Word of How God was making Me a Standard where None Existed and Trust Me to try to use my Human reasoning to figure it out. Wait maybe its Corporate event hosting, so i started to find how to brush those skills up and begin to position myself for it, since God has confirmed that i was called to the Media Mountain.

So Let Me tell you How i have come to Understand God’s sense of Humor, also in March, ( well i think my year started in March, literally like some sort of awakening) i had signed up for a school of coaching which was an intense training on leadership, people management, amongst other things. And how i took it with utmost seriousness is assuming. And how much i have grown just by showing up and staying in that class, Fast Forward to June and i am practicing all that i have learnt in class!!!! Like Holy Spirit i am barely out of class.

So here i am 27 year old Woman who has no plan but God, How i went from being that TV girl doubting her own voice to Asking, God what are you doing with My Life, God is my Blueprint, i do not have to understand the full Map, but just follow He who has the Light with Him.

Yes in another blog post i will have a comprehensive list of the things i have learnt in the corporate space, How i have been able to manage it all, Time management!!! yes please my weekends have become some sort of Sacred thing, that is even asides how short it is. I would really like to take you on this journey with me and i hope you would come along with Me.

MEDIA WOMAN SHOULD HAVE NO OPINION OF POLITICS, IF OTHERWISE STAY QUIET ABOUT IT.

In 2014 when i decided to made an active effort in this media space one of the many things i learnt in the conferences and media seminar was media personalities are non partisan, because like we all know influential one media personality’s opinion can shake up in favor of a party or otherwise. 24 YEARS OF Democratic transition of power, and honestly the dynamics of what used to be a 2 party system has been shaken up in just a direction of what no one saw coming. maybe after the election and a new president emerges and is a primary personality. to take Nigeria to this land flowing with milk and honey as Moses the people of Israel .

it is less than 78hours into the most anticipated elections yet, its my first time voting and i don’t know how to place it, its in between excitement and worrisome , excitement because knowing that my vote counts and these politicians know that i know and think their 5000 0r even 5million cant make me change my mind is exciting and worrisome of course because this is an African country, elections can go from amazing to more amazing, but i am preserved.

A few days ago i went to my tailor’s or is it designers you people call it? i saw a party campaign party giving crumbs to the residents of that neighborhood oh sorry i mean 1kg of semo and trust the people who had been without access to cash for almost a month, without fuel, whose means of livelihood has dwindled over the years with zero accountability and no prospect to be better.

BIRTH PANGS

Years have become months, months have become week, weeks, days and now all we have left and prayers, altars raised for a peaceful election and a democratic transition of power. Do not worry this is not a ‘WHO TO VOTE’ post. Unlike a popular Nigerian Television Host who openly pledge her alliance to a particular candidate,siting Oprah has her motivation, i have learnt that with politics, people have their right to hold preferences, like what you prefer to have for breakfast, but unlike breakfast you can decide to have a change of hear mid preparation, and we 8 years, and if we are lucky 4 years after policies are made that would change the course and trajectory of our lives.So voting wisely shouldn’t be sang like a plea for a bright future,but as a chance to live and live in favorably condition. I like to believe we have Nigerians who have conscience, if you haven’t allowed hunger, tribalism,the promise for contract or the love for stagnancy and toxicity.

YOUR VOTE COUNTS AND THEY KNOW.

HOME OR DIASPORA. THIS ELECTION WILL BE ONE FOR THE BOOKS. GENERATIONS TO COME. EVERYONE IS COUNTING ON YOUR DECISION. THE FUTURE IS COUNTING ON YOUR PRESENT TO START RIGHT. THAT BEING SAID I WANT TO GO LOOK FOR HOW TO BUY NAIRA NOTE WITH NAIRA IN MY BELOVED COUNTRY.

My Darlings!!!! I must admit that i am proud of myself, I think I am doing this consistency thingy very well,yaaay!!! Baby Steps!!! To think I am juggling so so much, at the moment, and Honestly, i have prayed endlessly for times like this, and i don’t take any of these for granted.

It’s going to be a ‘SWEET YEAR’ can you taste it already? SWOOSH !!

Boy!!

It has been so looong we had a blog,(I know yeah) and in between those times, life has happened, from trying to figure out this adulting thing to finding God right at the center of it. But all of that decision has brought me back here, I won’t deny that I was not running from this, I didn’t want to be responsible for my depth, and I don’t want to be seen in anyway that seemed vulnerable, I suppose. Well, here I am Manifesting as commanded. LOOL. SO Y’ALL ARE WELCOME.

Writing  about afro-beat in the month of August should be the worlds 8^th world wonder, I mean have you seen the chat!!! Afrobeat is the Wave!!! It has been it will always been!! Afro-beat in 2020 is waaaaay  bigger than Nigeria or even Africa!!!! LIKE WHATEVER WE ARE DOING RIGHT, WE SHOULD LEGIT CONTINUE!!! BECAUSE IT IS WORKING!!!
